A summer sunset cast long shadows from the fence posts property line on a Wisconsin farm.
So often this experience happens, you finish a painting and for reasons you don't like it. Then you get feedback from the public, and they like the work. Go figure.............art is really in the eye of the beholder I guess.
I called this piece Fence Line Shadows. It's amazing how you forget how to paint when you lay the brushes down for a few weeks. Would appreciate your suggestions, dislikes or likes about this piece.
Took a break from painting landscapes to try something different. The scene is inside the cabin of the Black Stag Hunting Camp, it is 7:30 at night on opening day of deer hunting. One buck is hanging on the meat pole, the crew is very tired, couldn't even finish their card game, most were asleep, except for one fellow who was hungry, and another fellow hunter who is still trying to get tips on taking a big buck by reading a magazine. Some suggestions I received were to add some empty beer cans and booze bottles to the art, what do you think?
