Took a break from painting landscapes to try something different. The scene is inside the cabin of the Black Stag Hunting Camp, it is 7:30 at night on opening day of deer hunting. One buck is hanging on the meat pole, the crew is very tired, couldn't even finish their card game, most were asleep, except for one fellow who was hungry, and another fellow hunter who is still trying to get tips on taking a big buck by reading a magazine. Some suggestions I received were to add some empty beer cans and booze bottles to the art, what do you think?

Came across your painting while researching images for an article on deer camps for Northwoods Sporting Journal. Love it! Definitely need a few beer cans or scotch bottles in there. If you'd ever like to read any of my writing feel free to check out my blog at http://sacredhunterorg.blogspot.com/
